Intermediate and advanced artists, designers, and illustrators: Develop ideas using traditional media, then translate them digitally in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Emphasis will be placed on concept development as students create original characters and environments. Students will work in analog and digital formats, referencing the work of contemporary illustrators such as Ross Dearsley, Viktoria Gavrilenko, Will Murai, and Ryan Pancoast. This course is not for beginners; it is designed for students with prior drawing experience that are comfortable working in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Prerequisite(s): Introduction to Drawing, Digital Design: Adobe Illustrator, Digital Design: Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent experience.
