Exhibition Essentials

In this course, emerging artists learn the practical and creative processes required to put together an artist exhibition. Class sessions will include group critiques as students hone their ability to communicate about their art practice, discussions on historical and contemporary approaches to exhibition design, workshops on writing artist statements and planning exhibition promotion, and an introduction to installation and de-installation techniques. The course will culminate in a small pop-up exhibition of student work.

"[The instructor] created an environment where everyone's voice was heard, which is far harder to do than it sounds. I only wish the class had been longer!"
