Explore natural dye, cyanotype printing, weaving, drawing, zine-making, and public art interventions all with a focus on sustainability. Students learn to make artwork that engages with natural materials, and speaks to our current ecological turn. Plant tending and harvesting in the Knowledge-Lab Garden, foraging walks around downtown, and trips to nearby art and ecological spaces will provide inspiration! This exciting new camp is designed in partnership with Knowledge Lab, the SAIC sculpture department's "living laboratory" with an innovative, green, and sustainable focus.
