Introduction to Illustration

This course is designed to introduce students to the illustration process, from ideation and freehand sketching to the final piece. Students are encouraged to experiment with a variety of materials and styles, from traditional to digital and their hybrid. Classes are supplemented with a series of presentations on contemporary illustrators and a discussion of their methods. Prior drawing experience is helpful, but not necessary.
