Gain practical knowledge and experience in preparing images—designs, drawings, photographs—to create objects with laser cutters and engrave materials ranging from acrylic, balsa wood, and corrugated cardboard to Dura-Lar, linoleum, and 100% silk, among others. Develop an understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of using digital technologies in contemporary art and design practice as you complete individually-driven projects with instructor guidance.
Optional campus housing is available for an additional $500 a week for a single room or $375 for a double room. Housing registration takes place after you enroll for the course.
