These three-week, morning-only camps provide a playful, stimulating environment for our youngest campers to grow as creative, unique individuals. Using a variety of traditional and contemporary approaches, students experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, and design. Students are also provided with time for play through music and movement. Through the process of looking and creating, four to six-year-olds gain a better understanding of the process of making in addition to how and why art is made. These key principles help students to gain confidence in their own work and build on their individual strengths for future classes. The Upcycled Artists camp will feature art projects and creative activities that utilize and celebrate recycled materials. Campers will discover the possibilities that exist within common household items that are often discarded and will learn the importance of using art as a tool to care for our environment. *This online course requires one adult to be present in the room with the camper while camp is in session in order to support and facilitate the childís participation in all synchronous and asynchronous activities.
