These one-week, morning-only camps provide a playful, stimulating environment for our youngest campers to grow as creative, unique individuals. Using a variety of traditional and contemporary approaches, students experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, and design. Students are also provided with time for play through music and movement. Through the process of looking and creating, four to six-year-olds gain a better understanding of the process of making in addition to how and why art is made. These key principles help students to gain confidence in their own work and build on their individual strengths for future classes. During the World Builders camp, students will work together to design and create the elements of a brand new world, full of characters, plants, structures, histories, and more. Projects will include 2-D, 3-D, and performance-based art activities.
*This online course requires an adult to be present while camp is in session in order to support with materials and, as needed, help to facilitate the child's participation in camp activities.
