Thinking Through Museums

If you love museums but feel overwhelmed when you step in the door, this class will help you develop strategies and an individualized approach to allow you to get the most out of your visit. Using the Art Institute as a home base, we?ll visit area museums as a class and individually, discovering new ways to access inside information and build on what you already know. Understanding collection areas, curatorial methods, and the nature of materials will add to your pleasure and confidence in any museum?s permanent collection and in its special exhibitions. Note: This short format course is offered at a reduced tuition rate-$195, $175 for AIC members, and $146 for SAIC alumni.
