This focused, skill-building intensive emphasizes hands-on studio work and the completion of finished pieces in a shorter 5-week format. Students explore the fundamentals of animation through a series of short exercises and one resolved project, working with techniques such as frame-by-frame and stop-motion. Emphasis is placed on movement, timing, and visual storytelling as students develop ideas into simple animated sequences. Through guided demonstrations, studio work, and group discussion, students gain experience in character development, composition, and basic production workflows as they bring their ideas to life. Students interested in developing more complex projects and techniques are encouraged to enroll in the 10-week Animation Studio.
Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026.
