Turn photographs into thoughtful compositions with contrast, gesture, and color harmony as you learn to create landscapes in the studio. For the beginning landscape painter with little or no plein air (outdoor) experience, this workshop will introduce participants to grid and projection methods to translate photographic images onto painting surfaces. They will learn to see shape masses rather than line and develop forms rather than detail. Bring your favorite landscape photographs to use as reference material.
